The who’s who of the rap game have been invited to sessions for Dreamville’s Revenge of The Dreamers III, a rap camp of sorts where the goal is to get a ton of talented individuals in one big studio and create another installation in the Revenge of the Dreamers compilation series.

J. Cole took to Twitter early Saturday morning to share what progress has been made during the sessions, writing, “Shed tears tonight writin a verse shit was beautiful. Revenge sessions going down in history.”

Revenge of The Dreamers III comes a little more than three years after the Dreamville label dropped the second compilation effort, in 2015. The first installment in the series, Revenge of the Dreamers, came in 2014.

Of course, all the usual Dreamville suspects have been regulars at the sessions: Ari Lennox, Bas, Cozz, EarthGang, J.I.D, Lute, and Omen. A number of other artists have been invited, too, such as T.I., Saba, Vince Staples, Tay Keith, Meek Mill, and more.

Complex spoke with photographer and videographer Chase Fade—who worked on Bas’ Milky Way Tour—to set the scene.

“It's a big studio,” he told Complex. “There are like 13 or 14 different studio rooms inside. There's different energy in all of these different rooms, with a bunch of producers coming in, a bunch of rappers coming in, singers, managers, you name it. Everyone's here just trying to create some good music.”
