Ariana Grande was set to cap off her year, which has been particularly difficult for her for a number of reasons, with a New Year's weekend show at the Chelsea at a Las Vegas hotel. The show was set to be a far more intimate performance for the pop star, with only 3,200 seats available at the casino venue. Tickets were reselling for over $1000 each, but now she's pulling out at the last minute, with TMZ reporting that she's sick with bronchitis.

The Cosmopolitan hotel, which is home to the Chelsea, has yet to comment on the matter, but reports indicate that Grande will likely reschedule the show for a later date. Starting from March, 2019, Ariana Grande will set off on her Sweetener world tour. The extensive tour will start in North America before making its way to Europe later in the year, eventually coming to a close in October.

Over the Christmas holidays, Ariana Grande reconnected with her estranged father, Edward Butera. Previously the two fell out, and it had a big impact on her. "It took me so long to be okay with it," she previously explained. "The thing that got me there was embracing the fact that I am made up of half my dad, and a lot of my traits come from him. So much of me comes from my father, and for so long, I didn't like that about myself. I had to accept that it's okay not to get along with somebody and still love them."
