My Friday was clipping along at an abysmally glacial pace until, without warning, 2 Chainz turned my whole goddamn week around with a new video for his Ty Dolla Sign collab "Girl's Best Friend."
The video, directed by New York-based filmmaker Sebastian Sdaigui, places Chainz and company inside a "trap salon," complete with the perfect visual choices to truly bring the Hot Wings Are a Girl's Best Friend cut to life. As always, now's the time to cease reading my writings about something you could watch, and instead utilize your own eyes.
The two-track espresso shot of Hot Wings Are a Girl's Best Friend dropped as a bit of a surprise back in November, marking Chainz's first new batch of sonic boosters since his previous 2018 EP The Play Don't Care Who Makes It and last year's full-length studio album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.
Just as important, of course, is the recent launch of Chainz's premium weed provider Gas Cannabis Co. "Gas stands for one thing, and you'll know it when you experience it," he said. "It's top-end, but at an affordable price, because I want everyone to be able to understand that Gas is the real fire."
Personally, I can't wait to take a Gas-assisted trip through 2 Chainz's Haunted Pink Trap House in Atlanta next October.
