UPDATED Nov. 6, 12:45 a.m. ET: Earl has now shared another mysterious clip to his socials.

See original post below.

If you're like me, you've been starving for a new Earl Sweatshirt project for quite some time now. That's why, when Earl hit us with a "the wait is almost over" tweet back in September, the endorphins spiked. Now, it appears that the wait is even closer to almost over.

Monday, Earl shared a frustratingly brief video to YouTube and Instagram in which what definitely sounds like fresh music is being teased. The video has no title, and aside from a helping of emoji, no clues in the form of a caption. See for yourself below.

Complex has reached out to Earl's reps about what, exactly, is being teased here and will update this post accordingly.

Just last week, Earl appeared on Vince Staples' new album FM!. The interlude's title itself—"New EarlSweatshirt"—would also seem to signal that we are indeed very close to getting something new from Earl.

His most recent album, the excellent I Don't Like Shit I Don't Go Outside, dropped way back in 2015. One year later, he popped up with Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul on Danny Brown's Atrocity Exhibition single "Really Doe."

A new project, presumably a studio album, makes sense given the fact that Earl is set to perform at this year's Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival. Tyler, the Creator's annual celebration of art and general awesomeness takes over Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles this coming weekend and also features performances from Post Malone, Pusha-T, Playboi Carti, Billie Eilish, ASAP Rocky, and the formal live debut of Kid Cudi and Kanye West's Kids See Ghosts.
