DaniLeigh, the rising entertainer behind viral single “Lil Bebe,” is ready to give her fans more music. When the singer/rapper is not on Instagram winning our hearts over with her choreography, she’s busy preparing her Def Jam debut, The Plan. Now, it has arrived.
Earlier this month, the Miami native shared her album artwork, created by Steven Muela and Divad Creatives, and a message on how much this album means to her.
"I expressed myself with everything I’ve been through this past year in this album.. my story,” she wrote. "My mentality is to stick to my plan...Taking care of my family, getting loved correctly, and being a bosssss assss bitchhhh. I hope y’all relate ...I wanted to show my versatility as an artist .. ya will hear my R&B, trap, and Latin side."
She was selected to close out HeinekenGreen Room 2018 at House of Yes in Brooklyn Tuesday night, headlining the showcase with opener NO1 Noah and a DJ set by Odalys. She also previewed several songs from The Plan, including the bouncy track “Yo No Se” that has her singing in Spanish. After performing “Blue Chips,” she ended the evening with “Lil Bebe,” where things got extra rowdy when she jumped into the crowd to turn up with her DaniLions.
The Plan is a mix of different vibes, staying on trend with trap-tinged songs and slowed down R&B numbers to balance out her sound. Along with delivering a banger like “Lil Bebe,” she can also take it to the West Coast like on “Do It to Me,” which interpolates Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day.” DaniLeigh even gets personal on “Family Only,” expressing her thoughts on putting her family first.
The album also includes “Lil Bebe” (Remix) featuring Lil Baby. You can stream it below via Spotify and grab it on iTunes.
