The City Girls are finagling and finessing their way to hip-hop royalty with the video for their latest single, "Season," featuring their Quality Control label-mate, Lil Baby.

For this visual (which was shot before JT's latest incarceration), the City Girls redefine the concept of "Gold Digging" as a very wealthy man becomes a willing participant in the duo's extravagant adventures. Throughout the video a noticeably older man showers JT and Yung Miami with gifts and money while the pair swipes their way through Los Angeles at his expense, mirroring the single's self-defining chorus of "it's that season/where n***** cut a check for no reason."

However, the video takes a minor break from this storyline as Lil Baby intrudes on their splurging to deliver his verse, which serves as a clever antithesis to the theme of the track. Yet once his portion ends, the video and the track return to the intended purpose of the song, with JT adding a strong closing verse.

Both "Season" and its video speak to the City Girl's rising stardom. This song, which is the second single off their debut album, Girl Code, is a return to the underground content that grabbed the interests of fans and caught the attention of superstars like Drake.
