Hailing from Nottingham, soul singer Liam Bailey has been steadily building a name for himself as a bright light within the UK soul scene for some time now (remember his A$AP Ferg collab?). This time last week Bailey dropped his new single "Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her", a heart-wrenching collaboration with another soul gem, Maverick Sabre and now we've got the video for you. Together with director James Beale, the pair celebrate their friendship while lamenting what they realise is a toxic relationship.
Speaking on the subject of the video, Bailey told Complex via email: "The video for 'Brother, Why You Gotta Love Her' was inspired by my friendship with Maverick. We’ve seen a lot of pubs, brandy glasses and shared a few stories over the bar. I think Mav was into the idea of doing the video in an Old Miners Welfare but we settled for Catford Constitutional Club instead."
