For the second time this year, Rihanna's Hollywood home has been the site of a break-in.

"We were notified due to the sophisticated technology and security and surveillance systems here, of which her representatives have access to," Captain Cory Palka of the Los Angeles Police Department told KCAL of the incident, which police say occurred around 9:30 p.m. local time Tuesday night at Rihanna's residence in the Hollywood Hills area.

At the time of the incident, per the report, no one (including Rihanna) was inside the home. Police were still investigating on-site as of early Wednesday morning, having confirmed "evidence of a break-in." At the time of this writing, police had not announced whether theft was also involved. Additional information was given to KCAL by a Rihanna employee and a neighbor. Reportedly, a glass door in the back of the residence was broken and multiple suspects were seen leaving in a silver vehicle.

Back in May, Fullerton resident Eduardo Leon was charged with several felonies after allegedly breaking into Rihanna's home and spending an estimated 12 hours inside. At the time, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office estimated that Leon ultimately caused "more than $400 in damage" to the residence by allegedly wrecking the security system. Leon—who reportedly got tased at some point during the incident—was ultimately hit with one felony count each of first-degree residential burglary, stalking, and vandalism. He was also hit with a misdemeanor resisting arrest count.

Earlier this month, Rihanna was named an ambassador for Barbados. As part of the role, Rihanna hopes to "reimagine" her native Caribbean island while furthering its education and tourism sectors.
