Though the 2018 Mercury Prize may have just evaded him last week, you'd still be hard-pressed to find a more commanding voice or more illuminating smile than Novelist's as the traditionalist flag-bearer of the grime scene in 2018. Following a string of impressive, experimental EPs over the last two years, the Lewisham MC released his debut LP, Novelist Guy, back in April and now shares the monochrome visuals for "Dot Dot Dot", the first to be lifted from the album.

Produced by Novelist himself, "Dot Dot Dot" is reminiscent of early Dizzee's stripped-back production chops, with scattered drum patterns and a searing hook carrying the refreshingly positive message of responding to your highest calling. Watch up above.
