Drake Shows Off Life-Size Owl Jewelry Made With 'Over a Kilo of Gold'

Drake's jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills revealed that the chain is made out of "over a kilo of gold and over 100 carats of Ascher cut diamonds." When he received the piece this weekend, Drake said, "It’s the infinity gauntlet."

Chaining Tatum has added another extravagant piece to his jewelry collection.

After breaking nearly every streaming record imaginable and selling out arenas with the Migos, Drake celebrated with a new chain that features a "life size" owl pendant.

Drake's jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills revealed that the chain is made out of "over a kilo of gold and over 100 carats of Asscher cut diamonds." In an Instagram post, Jason explained that Drake called him six weeks ago and commissioned the piece. When the jeweler delivered the owl over the weekend, Drake remarked, "It’s the infinity gauntlet."

"Drake texted me 'I have a special project for you,' and anytime I hear that I know it’s going to be something special," Beverly Hills CEO Jason Arasheben tells Complex. "The pendant was finished in 6 weeks and was flown to Drake in a custom birdcage that housed the diamond owl." He jokes, "The piece is so large it needed its own seat on the jet."

Drake's flock of OVO-inspired owl pendants is growing. In 2017, he commissioned a smaller 40 carat owl piece from Ben Baller, which reportedly set him back $120,000.

The 31-year-old rapper made headlines in early 2017 when he reportedly purchased a 17-inch platinum and diamond Tiffany Victoria necklace for $100,000 and gave it to Jennifer Lopez. More recently, he memorialized his friend and OVO affiliate Anthony “Fif” Soares with a gold chain and pendant following the 33-year-old's murder in Toronto. Catch a glimpse of that piece below.
