Ever since she popped up on Big Sean and Metro Boomin's "So Good" last year, Kash Doll has positioned herself as someone to keep an eye on. Her appearance on that song was a standout moment on the project from which it came, Double or Nothing. Since then, she's left her fans, old and new, wanting more.
Her latest release, Brat Mail, came out in March. The 22-minute EP was streamed over 13 million times, even as an independently released project. According to Kash Doll herself, the Brat Mail project was a gift to her fans post-freedom from her old production company.
She's kept busy by feeding listeners sprinkles of freestyles on social media, and appearing on other artists' songs, but now she's back with a new solo track. "Ice Me Out" is a little something special for her fans while she puts together her upcoming, yet-unnamed album. The beat, provided by FKi 1st, is bouncy, yet dark; the bloated downbeats are reminiscent of those on Valee's "Juice & Gin."
Kash Doll is slick throughout, dropping off stunt-laced lines like: "She wear chains when she f*cking/Get her charms 'cause she lucky." If this song is any indication of what's to come, Kash's fans have a lot to look forward to.
