French Montana surprised partygoers at Tao Downtown in New York on Tuesday night when he popped in to preview some of his new music. The track that drew the most attention that night was an upcoming collab with Drake. Check out a snippet of the song below.
When describing the response to French’s unreleased songs, a source close to Page Six said, "The place went nuts."
French and Drake have collaborated on a few projects before, including 2016’s "No Shopping," and "Pop That" which also featured Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.
After releasing his second studio album Jungle Rules last July, French admits took his time crafting his next full-length project. Even though it looks like Montana will not take a four-year hiatus between dropping his follow-up to the debut effort Excuse My French, he understands the importance in making a quality body of work. "I come from the mixtape era -- we just dropped shit," he told Billboard. "I’m going to make sure this one gets the respect it deserves."
From joining forces with Lil Pump and Diplo for "Welcome to the Party" off the Deadpool 2 soundtrack and linking up with Remy Ma for the Harry Fraud-produced "New Thang," French has still kept his fans entertained in the meantime by releasing one-off tracks here and there.
