Zayn Malik has just dropped a moody new single and accompanying music video, titled "Sour Diesel." The song was co-written by Malay and Rob Cavallo, both of whom also produced the track.

The song is currently available on most streaming platforms, and you can hear the song above or through this link. You can also watch the video exclusively on Apple Music right now.

The artist teased the moody visuals for the track on his Twitter yesterday.

"Sour Diesel" is the latest track off Zayn's upcoming second studio album. Back in April, Zayn told Zane Lowe on Beats One Radio to tease his upcoming project, adding that at that time, an album title, track list, and theme had already been set in stone. He's previously released "Let Me" and "Entertainer," both with full-fledged cinematic music videos. The videos featured the same actors, and the latter was a continuation of the former in both theme and plot. The new video, which stars Zayn himself as a vigilante hero, looks poised to add to this ongoing narrative.

During the Beats One interview, though, Zayn did say that the rollout for this album would be unique. "It's going to be different to I think anything anyone has done before, I don't think anyone has done it this way," he explained. "So it's going to be interesting to see how the audience reacts to this kind of release but I wanted to try something different. And I think it's all going to make sense in the end when the album finally drops."
