It was one month ago today when XXXTentacion lost his life at just 20 years old. The rapper’s untimely death sent shock waves throughout the hip-hop world, leaving many people torn about how to remember the controversial artist following his tragic murder. But despite others’ conflicting feelings, XXX’s mother has vowed to keep his memory alive.

Cleopatra Bernard shared a brief message Wednesday reflecting on her son’s passing and the ongoing grief it has caused. “Today is a month since you left us and I still can’t wrap my head around it,” she wrote on Instagram. “It gets harder everyday but I will never allow your name to die, I love you with all my heart and I miss you beyond words, LLJ.”

Fans flooded the comment section with words of support: “We are brought together because of Jahseh.. he saved many of us and if it wasn’t for you raising him and bringing him on this earth, we wouldn’t have known this hero,” one person wrote.

“Don't let depression get the best of u.. stay strong..stay positive, and spread positivity all around the world because that what he really wanted,” another fan commented.
