Earlier this year, Chi-Town's own Lil Durk announced that he'd left Def Jam. While some might be waiting for his collaborative project with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, or for when he'll be a part of another hilarious meme, Durk's eye is on the prize. Fans know that he's been repping his Only the Family collective for a while, but he's now turned OTF into a label, and their first group mixtape, Only the Family Involved, Vol. 1, drops July 31. Durk's previews the release with the official video for "Remembrance."

With the camera capturing footage of a regular day in Lil Durk's work life, we see him chillin' with the squad, shopping, and hitting radio stations for interviews. It feels like someone flipping through a photo book during a day in their life, with Durk saying that the song is "about remembering certain times, situations, and moments in my past that shaped part of what I am today. The video shows my life in the present but the song touches on things I experienced to get to the present." It's also important to note that Durk keeps it honest throughout the track; not only does he say he won't shop at Nordstrom Rack again, but he asks for someone to "make Kanye black again".

It was also announced today that Durk has signed a new deal with Alamo Records/Interscope, and is set to drop his third studio album, Signed to the Streets 3, via Alamo/Interscope later this year. In the press release for the announcement, Durk says that he "went somewhere that made me feel like I was top priority; a place that needed me just as much as I needed them.

"Since the beginning of the discussions with Todd, Shari, Joie, Nigel and the people over Alamo/Interscope," he continued. "They made me feel that way. Plus the MONEY was lovely, lol. My team and I went a whole year and half where we basically did everything on our own, no support, no promo, we didn’t complain we just got to it. It made us stronger. Now that Alamo/Interscope partnered with us, the sky is the limit for sure."

All of that knowledge and game will be vital for the next chapter in Durk's life, as that OTF mixtape will show Durk putting on his signees. OTF Ikey, Doodie Lo, and Booka 600 got their shine on earlier this week when Durk dropped the banger "Play Your Role," and you'll also get to hear Yung Tory do his thing on the project as well.
