After a brief a hiatus, Devontée WOE is back and better than ever. The Toronto rapper-producer may have been laying low for a minute, but it sounds like the man was just busy cooking up heat. Following last month’s bouncy cut “BLESS”, the multitalent is keeping momentum up with a brand new single.

Entitled “Real Rudebwoy”, the fresh track released today is a lowkey and chilling offering that follows in the sonic footsteps of his previous hits like “Bare Tings”, “Godspeed”, and “Hunger Pains”. To help bring things up a notch further, Devontée enlisted Canadian rap icon, Kardinal Offishall, for a featured verse, and the OG totally delivered.

In an official press release, Devontée broke down the significance behind his smooth single, declaring it a sort of love letter to his city. "Real Rudebwoy is a representation of Toronto culture in its fullest form, heavy bass, rhythmic drums, sweet lyrics and lots of flavour," says Devontée, who also happens to be the cousin of Ayesha Curry, wife to NBA superstar Steph Curry. "The song is also about strong-minded women that know what they want and get what they want."

“Real Rudebwoy” will land on the rapper’s forthcoming album, which is tentatively called Head Gone. You can listen to it now on all major streaming services, including below via Spotify.
