What’s up, guys? Frazier here for Complex News.
This first run of Kanye-produced 7-track GOOD Music albums, + Nas, is set to conclude with Teyana Taylor's project on June 22nd. But It’s looking like Yeezy and GOOD might already be looking ahead to another batch.
Though he didn’t offer that much in the way of details, longtime Kanye collaborator and GOOD Music spitter CyHi the Prynce hinted that he might be next in line for a seven-track opus when he shared a conversation on twitter that he recently had with yeezy.
“Welp @kanyewest just said ‘man we gotta start setting these ideas aside for your 7 songs’ I said the world will never be the same!!!! All the CYHI FANS get ready!!!!!”
CyHi’s finally released his long-awaited debut studio album No Dope on Sundays back in November of 2017, and in my humble opinion, it was more than worth the wait. Kanye only contributed a verse and production to one song though. So even though CyHi has been a huge part of every Ye album from Dark Twisted Fantasy on, Ye producing the entirety of a CyHi project would be a big gear shift in their collaborative history.
In addition to CyHi possibly getting a Kanye-produced project, there’s also a chance Ty Dolla Sign will be working with ‘Ye on something of his own. Ty, who’s featured on both Ye and Kids See Ghosts, recently got some pretty high praise from Kanye, who called the singer "one of the strongest artists that we have living," with Ty even teasing the idea of a collab album with Ye on Instagram. It's also worth noting that GOOD staples like Big Sean are due for the Yeezy Wyoming treatment as well. We also wouldn't say no to a solo Cudi album over all Ye production.
Hopefully, these projects come to fruition and we get an extension on the most recent run of G.O.O.D. Music Fridays.
