Birdman had some high praise for his YMCMB signee Nicki Minaj in a recent interview with Rap Up. Birdman championed Nicki's successes in breaking down doors in order to become one of the most popular names in hip hop.

"I always say she’s the best ever, best female ever in hip-hop, hands down, facts. There’s no getting around it," he stated.

Giving respect where he felt respect was due, he continued to gush, "There’s levels to this shit. Very much levels to this shit. She’s an elite. Sometimes, you can put Nicki in a room with males on a rap, but if you put her on females, it’s nothing. She’s a monster in her own race." He also alluded to Nicki's social media absence, commenting that "she's working and she's focused."

The Barbz can rejoice at this confirmation that Minaj is finally focused on her long-awaited follow up to 2014's The Pinkprint. Minaj is taking a pause on her elaborate social media antics for now, and things look promising for her latest project. Birdman is clearly more than willing to co-sign that fact. "She’s just a special talent. I’m blessed to have her a part of my team. She’s a special talent I’ve never heard before," he said.

During the interview, Birdman also plugged his upcoming documentary with Apple Music, as well as guaranteeing that Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V is on its way this year as well. Looks like the clouds at Cash Money are finally clearing up as multiple artists have new ventures in the works.
