You're goddamn right we're about to give you hundreds of words about French Montana's failed surfing attempt. Montana recently borrowed a board while doing Montana things down in Sydney, TMZ's international division of aquatic news reported Friday while employing an ill-advised "Unforgettable" pun. Once Montana and the borrowed board encountered ocean water, however, the reality of surfing the light fantastic became strikingly clear.
The full Montana vs. Surfing video is available over at TMZ and is frustratingly not embeddable, so go watch it if you want. Thank us later for not using an "Unforgettable" pun of our own.
Montana is currently in Australia with the Weeknd for Phase Two of the Starboy: Legend of the Fall World Tour. The global trek hits Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena this Saturday and Sunday before closing out with a string of dates in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth.
When not assisting gossip sites' advertising dollars by having his surfing attempts filmed and widely distributed, Montana spends time teasings fans with whispers of major collabs. Earlier this month, for instance, Montana told Montreality that he and ASAP Rocky have something in works. "Yeah, me and Rocky got a project," he said. "We'll be coming out with it real soon." In the same interview, Montana also teased future surfing of a different kind: a Coke Wave album with Max B. "I just feel like, you know, he's in there and he's loading up," he asid. "I'm in the best shape of my life, he in the best shape of his life. The energy in there is going to be impeccable."
He did not elaborate further.
