Today, British R&B singer Jerome Thomas returns with a new video for "The Stone". The lead single from his debut EP, Conversations, "The Stone" is a deceptively smart record — in plain sight of sensual melodies and warm percussion, lies a defiant and unadulterated stoner anthem. Within Thomas' thick, vintage R&B drawl, he lays out rules for the smoke sesh, twirling passionate melodies over crisp drums. The single's meaning plays out metaphorically for its visual, as the natural essence of the subject sees Jerome Thomas at one with the great outdoors.

Speaking with Complex via email, Thomas explained: "'The Stone' is a jam for all the stoners out there. There are a lot of them out there, and I know they can relate. With the video, I wanted to show the world a visual interpretation of my utopia." If Jerome Thomas is indeed new on your radar, Conversations is an ambitious and strong 5-track set well worth your time. Before that, though, watch the Christopher Cargill-directed video above.
