If you watched the season premiere of Ball in the Family, 1. We’re sorry, and 2. You know Lonzo Ball made more questionable comments about rap music.

During the first episode, the 19-year-old Lakers point guard was told he would be forced to listen to “real hip-hop” during his series interviews. Lonzo immediately knew “real” meant “from before you were born,” which prompted an eyebrow-raising response: “That’s not gonna happen,” he told a man behind the camera. “Y’all outdated, man. Don’t nobody listen to Nas anymore […] Real hip-hop is Migos, Future.”

It was a bold statement that wasn’t exactly praised on Twitter.

Some people weren’t all that surprised, though.

Earlier this year, Lonzo was roasted on social media after posting his top 5 favorite rappers of all time. His list consisted of Lil Wayne, Future, DMX, 50 Cent, and 2Pac—in that order. Though most would agree that these kinds of lists are totally subjective, people couldn’t help but criticize Lonzo for including Future.

And there was also that time he was dragged for insisting 21 Savage’s Issa was superior to Jay Z’s 4:44.
