R&G is officially back.
The R&B vocal-led grime off-shoot has been popping its head in and out since L.A. singer Kelela dropped Cut 4 Me in 2013, and now, thanks to Terror Danjah—arguably its creator—there's a new label to push the sound even further. The R&G label's first release comes from singer/songwriter Olivia Louise—and is produced by Mr. Danjah himself. "'I'll Follow U' sets the balance with our male-dominated scene, showcasing that grime has more of musical element to it, and a sexier side to it," Terror explains. With her super-sweet tone controlled acrobatics, Olivia adds that the cut is "a proud expression of love, loyalty and dedication in a day and age where relationships are viewed as disposable."
Due for release on May 26, "I'll Follow U" will come with remixes from the legendary Zed Bias, grime-dancehall artist Irah, and rising Brummie producer S.P.K. Watch the love story unfold in the Art Officials-directed visuals above.
