After their recent smash collaboration with Craig David ("Nothing Like This"), house duo Blonde are mingling with musical history once more. Taking on Jean Jacques Smoothie's iconic 2001 club cut "2 People", the Blonde boys whip up a punchy, rolling house epic. The vocals are restrained even further than the original, giving them a breathy, ecstatic edge. Wisely, to balance the feather-light vocals, the boys add a much sturdier beat and a few melodic twists to propel the track firmly into 2016. It's no light undertaking to rework such a well-known tune, but if you have to do it, this is how it's done.
