Will Smith recently stopped by BBC's 1xtra for a dope interview with A.Dot, where he talked extensively about his kids, Willow and Jaden Smith. During the conversation, Will explained what it's like to raise kids as creative as Willow and Jaden, and why he and Jada Pinkett Smith felt it was best to encourage their creative spirits and freedom of expression in everything they wanted to do. "I think it might have been a mistake, we may have gone too far," Will joked about raising Jaden the way they did.

As far as their reactions to some of the things that Jaden does, such as wearing women's clothes, Will said that they've always drove him to push things to the edge. "You have to be comfortable doing things that you could fail," Will said. "Jaden is 100 percent fearless, he will do anything. As a parent it's scary, it's really terrifying, but he is completely willing to live and die by his artistic decisions and he doesn't concern himself with what people think."

He also admitted raising Willow was a bit different because she's a girl, but that they've always tried to give her the same amount of freedom as her two brothers. While Will has talked recently about Jaden and Willow inspiring him on the music side, that didn't come up during this interview, though he previously said that he's going to go on a world tour with DJ Jazzy Jeff this summer. Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen.
