Kendrick Lamar returned to late-night TV tonight with a special appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As a surprise, Kendrick premiered a new song called "Untitled 2" during his performance on the show, much like he did on The Colbert Report back in 2014. This performance was just as impressive as Kendrick completely spazzed under the dim lights of the set. Naturally, the new Kendrick song was absolutely crazy lyrically, as he called TDE the mafia of the West and referred to himself as "Cornrow Kenny" multiple times during the performance. Kendrick's confident raps were as prevalent as ever, with lines like, "I can put a rapper on life support/Guaranteed something that none of you want."

Kendrick never released the "Untitled" song that he performed in 2014, and it will remain to be seen if he decides to drop the new song he did tonight. During the interview portion of the show, Kendrick and Fallon talked about the Mario Kart mashup with "Swimming Pools (Drank)," how Kendrick blows off steam, and much more. On his 11 Grammy nominations, Kendrick said he's glad he didn't pass Michael Jackson's record of 12 nominations in one year because MJ is one of the greatest ever. As far as the sampled songs on To Pimp a Butterfly, Kendrick said that it was all stuff that his parents played while he was growing up.
