It may only be the second release to come out of Robert Dietz' Truth Be Told label, but the TBT 002 EP (a collaborative effort between the label head and Alci) hints at a sure-footed label with a sturdy idea of where it's going. One of our favourite cuts is the brilliantly titled "Mortal Ham", one of the only tracks on the release to feature both producers. It's one of the darker cuts on the EP but it's still perfectly palatable for even the most occasional techno fan. There's also a smokiness to the release that tempers the robotic feel, bringing the track to life with a palpable sense of depth. You can practically feel the sweat dripping down your skin as you listen.
