United States troops stationed in Afghanistan and Kuwait received a special message from Beyoncé on New Year's Eve that was followed by a screening of her and Jay Z's "On the Run" tour HBO special. "I just want to say a big thank you to our troops for everything you do to keep our country safe," Beyoncé said in her message to the thousands of troops that were present at the USO show.
"Watching the On the Run concert made me forget I was in Afghanistan for the holidays ... thank you," SSGT Ferguson said, who is currently stationed at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. Video of the celebration can be viewed above, with Beyoncé's message coming at the 2:15 mark in the broadcast.
