New Joey Bada$$ is on it's way. On Wednesday, Joey stopped by MTV News to reveal a few details about his upcoming debut album B4DA$$. While there's currently no release date set for the follow-up to 2013's Summer Knights, he confirmed in his interview that B4DA$$ is done and ready for our consumption.
"At this point, the album is completed. [I finished it] literally two days ago. It’s been pretty much completed for a while, but it’s like when you make ice cream, it’s that cherry on the top that really brings it all together. The whole time, I’ve been searching for sprinkles, and now I got it nicely decorated and everything, so it’s ready to go.”
Joey also told MTV that Hit-Boy, Statik Selektah, DJ Premier, as well as Pro Era homies Kirk Knight and Chuck Strangers all contributed to his album.
Whether or not B4DA$$ melts is a different story, but given what Joey dropped on SoundCloud today, it appears that he's right on track. To celebrate the start of his latest tour, he dropped "Get Paid"—a slapstick boom-bap track featuring Joey at his most commanding on the mic.
