Today marks the second installment of Big K.R.I.T.'s celebratory "Week of K.R.I.T.," as the the 27-year-old Southern rapper shares his new freestyle "Conscious Effort." The soulful beat he raps over is from veteran Cincinnati producer Hi-Tek, and was originally used by Game and Nas on "Letter to the King" off Game's 2008 album L.A.X.

K.R.I.T. sounds right at home, lacing the beat with razor sharp rhymes. "Dropping a boom box in your bathtub is the only you can buzz more," he raps cleverly. This cutthroat demeanor is an area Big K.R.I.T. visits from time to time, but he does so sparingly so the moment doesn't lose its appeal.
