Although many people might think of Miami and immediately think of Ultra Music Festival or South Beach or Lebron, I'm thinking about OWSLA's Sluggers. We first learned about the act when Skrillex dropped his Essential Mix back in June and included their nasty track "Rollex." Literally the night I heard that mix I tracked this tune down and reached out. I've been waiting for this EP for six months and this week it finally came. With an impressive original four track offering and equally impressive remix line-up of Curses (aka Drop The Lime), Mark Starr, and Lazerdisk, Sluggers is making a bid for your Friday night crates. The tracks range from uptempo techy whizzers straight out of 1986 South Beach to more subdued internationally flavored deep numbers. Dive into this and find your groove.
