Harlem resident Starkeema Greenidge claims that she contracted herpes at Rihanna's May 7 show at Barclays Center from using Rihanna's MAC lipstick line at a pop-up shop within the venue.

Rihanna signed a deal with MAC earlier this year to create her own cosmetics line. Greenidge claims she stopped at the MAC pop-up in Barclay's and wanted to test out a "ruby-red" lipstick (the RiRi Woo lipstick).

According to NY Daily News, she let a MAC rep apply the lipstick to her upper lip, and was instructed to “press her lips together and spread the lipstick around." That is usually how make-up is applied but here's the pretty disgusting part: MAC didn't bring out a fresh or new lipstick tube; the tube that Greenidge used had been applied to other patrons' lips as well.

Her lawsuit says that MAC “should have known . . . it was unsanitary and exposing patrons to possible spread of disease.”

Two days later, Greenidge had a cold sore on her lip that her doctor later diagnosed as herpes.

MAC reportedly not using Q-Tips or swabs to apply lipstick to the numerous patrons stopping by the pop-up shop is pretty disgusting. But this is reason enough to never use testers.
