UPDATED December 26, 12:20 p.m. ET: Erica Garner's Twitter account said that NYPD officers rushed the account's manager (who's identified as "one of Ericas workers") out of her room in Woodhull Hospital and the ICU. The worker tweeted that police didn't offer any explanation for their appearance before later claiming "they mixed up the list of people who had permission with the people who don't. Until they figure it out all visits are dead." The account then asked followers to call the hospital for answers.

Here is an update on Erica ... She is in Woodhull hospital. The police all of sudden rushed me not only out of her room where I was all night and have a pass to be they rushed me out of the icu with no explanation.
#NYPD cleared me out of the ICU leaving Erica BY HERSELF WITH NO EXPLANATION ... We are at woodhull hospital. They are supposed to be bringing her out of her coma in less than an hour and the #NYPD cleared her support from the floor with no explanation.
I dont trust #NYPD ... They are saying that they mixed up the list of people who had permission with the people who don't. Until they figure it out all visits are dead. Problem is, I have been up there all night WITH AN OFFICIAL PASS FROM THE HOSPITAL!
don't watch ... call wood hull hospital in Brooklyn and ask them why the #NYPD is keeping out Erica Garners explicitly permitted visitors minutes before bringing her out of her coma?!?!?

The account manager was eventually let back into Erica's room. Before the incident, Erica's account tweeted that her condition "has not changed" since falling into a coma.

Erica Garner, the eldest daughter of police brutality victim Eric Garner, is in critical condition in a Brooklyn hospital after suffering a heart attack. "[She] is still with us," Garner's mother, Esaw Snipes-Garner, told the New York Daily News. "She's fighting."

Garner, 27, went into cardiac arrest Dec. 24 following an asthma attack. By Sunday night, Garner was in critical condition. Garner previously suffered another cardiac arrest earlier this year after giving birth to her son. Doctors eventually determined that Garner, who also has an 8-year-old daughter, had a condition that resulted in an enlarged heart.

"I was here last night and I've been here all day today," Tanya Goode, Garner's foster mother, said Monday. "Erica is on life support. She can’t breathe on her own. So, she's not doing well."

According to the Daily News, "someone who said they worked for" Garner tweeted from her account Dec. 24. "She is in a coma," the person said. "I'll tweet updates as I have them."

The Garner/Snipes family wants to thank you all for your prayers and support. At this moment there are no updates on Ericas condition. They ask that you take this holiday to enjoy your loved ones and for self care. More updates will come as they are available.

Erica Garner became heavily involved in activism following the 2014 death of her father, who died after being placed in a chokehold by NYPD cop Daniel Pantaleo. The death was later ruled a homicide due to Pantaleo's neck compressions and "the compression of [Garner's] chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police."

In a 2016 interview with Elle, Erica detailed her dedication to social justice. "I've absolutely discovered what I want to do with my life," she said. "Before, I was just kind of aimless, not sure what I was going to be doing. Now I know."
