Protesters at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night attempted to take things up a notch by blocking the perimeter around Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center so that delegates could not leave. The protesters' action was met by police in riot gear.

Police were caught on video shoving bicycles at the protesters.

Many activists were dismayed at the lack of media coverage of the action.

The DNC has been roiled with protests since it began. Dozens of protesters were cited for disorderly conduct on the convention's first day, and delegates in support of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders booed calls for party unity from the convention floor.
