Video Shows Ted Cruz Hit by Can of White Claw During Astros' World Series Parade
A man was arrested after he pelted Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the chest and neck area with a hard seltzer can during the Houston Astros' World Series parade.
A man was arrested after he allegedly threw a hard seltzer can at Texas Sen. Ted Cruz during the Houston Astros’ World Series victory parade on Monday.
Houston Police confirmed that a 33-year-old was taken into custody and will face assault charges. Authorities said Cruz was hit in the “chest/neck area” by the can, but didn’t require medical attention.
Cruz praised the Houston Police and Capitol Police in his response to the incident on Twitter, and took a dig at the person who threw the can.
It was a rough day for Cruz, who was also mercilessly booed as his military jeep made its way through the crowd.
The parade came weeks after Cruz dared to be seen inside Yankee Stadium in the Bronx during the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees.
As expected, his presence wasn’t well-received there, either.
