About 20 ostriches were on the loose in the Southern Alberta town of Taber on Thursday. Video circulated of an ostrich being struck by a police cruiser.

About 20 ostriches were on the loose in the Southern Alberta town of Taber.

According to the Calgary Herald, local police were able to wrangle them up after several hours of chasing them around.

Footage also made the rounds on social media of police trying to capture on ostrich down a busy street.

The RCMP says the ostriches escaped a local farm Thursday morning, and one died after being struck by a car.
