By now, you know how it goes: "if you don't love me at my ___, you don't deserve me at my ___." Then fill in the blanks with a before and after.
We don't know where the meme exactly originated, but we do know the trend derives from a quote often misattributed to Marilyn Monroe: "I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best."
It started off with sentences like "if you can't handle me at my Lindsay Lohan, you don't deserve me at my Beyoncé," but now, people are expressing them with pairs of images, Mashable reports. Some are of celebrities, including transformations of their previous to later selves.
And then the trend shifted to cartoon characters.
And finally, objects. The meme is just objects. It won't be long until another meme makes the rounds, but it's not every day that one trascends human beings.
