A mother and son in Massachusetts are feeling lucky after the pair won three $100,000 prizes from the state’s Keno lottery by playing the same numbers.

As reported by CBS Boston, Tricia Johnson, a 59-year-old waitress in Falmouth, won $100K on March 22 after playing her usual Keno numbers after work.  “I thought someone was messing with me,” she admitted. “I thought I was looking at the wrong thing.”

Three weeks later, Johnson tested her luck by playing the same numbers, ultimately winning another $100,000 prize on April 10. “It’s like lightning struck twice,” she told CBS. “I woke my husband up and made him confirm that I was really looking at what I was looking at.”

Mom and son each won $100,000 playing Keno. They are two of the sixteen $100,000 prize winners who won on the April 10 drawing. Read more about it at

Later that day, Johnson’s son John decided to give his mom’s lucky Keno numbers a try. Naturally, John too came away a winner, winning a $100,000 prize of his own.

“We just laughed and cried and hugged,” Tricia recalled. “It was incredible.”

After her numbers yielded $300K, Tricia maintains she doesn’t plan on testing her luck again.

“I can probably stop playing them now,” she joked, “because I’m sure it won’t happen again.”
