An employee recently fired from a Little Caesars Pizza in Cincinnati has been arrested for allegedly shooting her former manager for not rehiring her, WXIX reports.

Angel Kidd, 27, is facing a felonious assault charge after she critically wounded her manager last Tuesday.

Police say Kidd “returned to the business after being fired and requested her job back.” Kidd started to fight with the store manager in the parking lot, before she pulled out a firearm and shot her former manager in his left leg. She subsequently fled the scene.

“After being told she would not be re-hired she began fighting the store manager in the parking lot,” police said. “During the struggle (Kidd) pulled a gun and shot the store manager in the left leg. (She) fled the scene in a blue SUV.”

The manager was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he underwent surgery.

Kidd was booked into the Hamilton County Justice Center on Thursday. During her arraignment on Friday, the judge set Kidd’s bond at $500,000. Kidd’s attorney has requested a lower bond, as his client has “no prior criminal history.”

“She has absolutely no prior criminal history that I can show,” the attorney told the court. “She does have a valid defense to this charge. We don’t want to get into it this morning, but she does have a valid defense.”
