Xbox announced it's releasing a branded body wash, for the sophisticated gamer who wants to move beyond the Jersey shower.

The body wash was made in partnership with Axe (of course) and is only being released in Australia initially. The partnership between Microsoft and Axe will be released under the Lynx line, the name of Axe body spray in non-US markets.

“We see Xbox fans achieve incredible things every day, and we wanted to celebrate that elevated skill, passion and determination by creating something truly special,” said Tania Chee of Xbox. “Now, powering up can be as simple as a quick spray before you head out the door.”

Far from the overpowering Axe scents of middle school lore, the notes for the new gamer wash actually sound kind of pleasant. The product description from Microsoft describes a bright mix of citrus and wood.

"Lynx Xbox is a fresh scent of pulsing green citrus, featuring top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood,” the company says, noting that the Xbox-branded personal hygiene line will include body spray, deodorant and shower gel.

Twitter was giddy over the idea of gamer soap.
