New York City police are searching for a subway rider who allegedly attacked a fellow commuter on Friday, according to ABC. The suspect was wearing a red "Make America Great Again" cap and a red "Make America Great Again" shirt during the time of the incident.
According to the police, the suspect and his victim got into an argument on the 4 train before the attacker began punching the man in the head several times. After the train reached Union Square in Manhattan, the alleged attacker followed the man off the train and shoved him onto the tracks. The victim is reported to be a 24-year-old Hispanic man.
Police and witnesses allege that the attacker made a number of derogatory comments against his victim. A friend helped the victim up from the tracks. The Hispanic man suffered cuts on his head and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Just last week another MAGA-related crime took place in Union Square. According to ABC, a Danish tourist wearing a MAGA hat was attacked and robbed by the same subway stop at knifepoint. The crimes appear to be unrelated.
