Former President Barack Obama surprised volunteers at a Chicago food bank on Tuesday to help prepare Thanksgiving meals.
"Hey, how's it going?" Obama asked volunteers at the Greater Chicago Food Depository as he walked in. "This is a spiffy-looking spot right here."
Obama, a longtime Chicago native and resident, showed up sporting a Chicago White Sox hat and latex gloves with bags of donated food, according to CNN. "We believe no one should go hungry, especially this time of year, and that's why we're working to address the root causes of hunger in Chicago and Cook County," the food bank tweeted with video of the surprise.
Alongside volunteers, Obama helped bag potatoes for Thanksgiving meals. "You guys are doing such a great job helping out. I'm really proud of you,” he tells two young girls volunteering in the video.
People are now using Obama's visit to drag Donald Trump's Thanksgiving trip to Mar-A-Lago.
