Following the news of his divorce, we're now learning more about Jeff Bezos and his personal life than we ever have or ever wanted to. Mere hours after announcing his split from MacKenzie Bezos, damning reports about an alleged affair with Lauren Sanchez began hitting the tabloids.

The National Enquirer, probably one of the top five least-trusted sources in media, has now published alleged texts Bezos, the richest man on earth, sent to Sanchez. In one message allegedly obtained by The Enquirer, Bezos texted Sanchez, “I love you, alive girl. I will show you with my body, and my lips and my eyes, very soon.”

The date seems to indicate that Bezos’ relationship with the former news anchor and TV host began long before his split from MacKenzie was announced. On May 13, the billionaire texted, “I want to smell you, I want to breathe you in. I want to hold you tight. ... I want to kiss your lips. ... I love you. I am in love with you.”

If true, the texts corroborate the Page Sixreport that Bezos "has secretly been seeing Sanchez" for at least several months after first meeting through Sanchez's estranged husband Patrick Whitesell.

"Patrick and Lauren Sanchez have been separated for a while," a source told Page Six. "Their marriage has been off and on for a while, and they tried hard to fix things, but in the fall, they officially separated. She had told Patrick that she has been recently seeing Jeff Bezos."

Bezos and MacKenzie released a public statement about their divorce on Wednesday, making the split appear amicable. "We want to make people aware of a development in our lives. As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends," they co-wrote in a public letter. "If we had known we would separate after 25 years, we would do it all again."

Bezos, Sanchez, and MacKenzie all have yet to publicly address the cheating allegations.
