In News I Wasn't Expecting to Cover Today, there is a particularly fun theory floating around the interwebs posed by a Twitter user named @JoeVargas. On Oct. 13, the president, whose name escapes me right now, and his wife Melania arrived back on the White House lawn from who knows where. As usual, a mob of reporters were waiting for him to talk about something— anything—of substance. Also as usual, he did not.
This is not Melania. To think they would go this far & try & make us think its her on TV is mind blowing. Makes me wonder what else is a lie pic.twitter.com/JhPVmXdGit— Follow @Stoner on IG (@JoeVargas) October 18, 2017
"My wife, Melania, who happens to be right here," dude says at the top of the clip before prattling on about who knows what. Totally normal way to introduce her.
"This is not Melania," @JoeVargas wrote in the tweet that accompanied the video. "To think they would go this far & try & make us think its her on TV is mind blowing. Makes me wonder what else is a lie." In another tweet, he pointed out that the unnamed but famous national leader brought these suspicions upon himself.
I initially didn't notice, but thought it was strange when he said "my wife Melania, she's right here" to try & convince media it was her.— BuyLegalMeds.com (@JoeVargas) October 18, 2017
He even posted side-by-side photos of Melania and this alleged impersonator.
Let me save you some time from looking it up. It's not her. pic.twitter.com/IJjHEzWs8p— Follow @Stoner on IG (@JoeVargas) October 18, 2017
(Note: I love that he spelled her name "Milania" in the image search. Because, when you're worth several milli, why not go by your real title?)
I will say, this supposed Melania's hair does look especially un-FLOTUS like; it's more reminiscent of a straw hat, tbh. And those yuge sunglasses pressed down on her nose make it look like she's wearing one of those fake Humpty Hump/Shock G joints. So... OK. Yes. I'm wit it. I'm buying this theory.
And I'm not the only one. People on Twitter are fully rolling with it, and suspicions about this person's true identity are flying wild:
They really got a Melania stunt double out here. America is a shit show.— king crissle (@crissles) October 18, 2017
hello it's me, FLOTUS Melania pic.twitter.com/VK5OQprFev— Ashley (@ashcech) October 18, 2017
That's her stunt double who sleeps with him. Melina just collects her funds.— |Elaine•Black| (@LIBERAT0R_) October 18, 2017

After a little digging, I came across this much higher-quality video, via the Washington Post. It was also taped last Friday, and Trump and Melania are wearing the same outfits as the initial clip.
I'm sorry to say that this hi-res video, with all its bells and whistles, appears to reveal Melania in all of her pursed-mouth, 100 percent authentically augmented glory.
It's unclear if @JoeVargas legitimately thinks we're all being trolled, but hey: his theory was entertaining enough to have an entire post written about it. So either way, well done.
