Two police officers were shot after being ambushed in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania on Thursday morning. One was killed, while the other was wounded. A man suspected of opening fire on the officers, identified as Michael Cwiklinski, has reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Another person, a pregnant woman, was found dead in the home as well.

According to WPXI, the two officers responded to a domestic situation at a home in Canonsburg at around 3:15 a.m. When they arrived, they were reportedly ambushed and shot as they approached the home's front door. One of the officers, who has been identified as 52-year-old Scott Bashioum, died a short time later at a local hospital. The other officer was flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment. CBS Pittsburgh reports that the injured officer is in intensive care after being shot in the stomach.
A woman who lives inside the home where the shooting took place was pregnant, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and she had a Protection From Abuse order against the suspect in the shooting. Along with the suspect who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police found the body of the pregnant woman as well.
