It's official: summer is here and this is what it sounds like.

With more EDM acts booking Madison Square Garden for their tours, it's becoming kind of a mini-EDM mecca for the stars that can fill it. While This news shouldn't come as a surprise, word just hit the wire that Diplo and Skrillex will be headlining a massive New Year's Eve party at The Garden. This extravaganza will not only feature sets from Diplo and Skrillex separately, but they'll also be performing as Jack U.

If you want to go out in New York and just straight up dance, just get enveloped in sound and not worry about anything else, your best bet might be Output in Brooklyn. It's dark, there's usually a good crowd of music lovers, and most importantly the soundsystem is heavy.

Big Beat is pulling out all of the stops for Rudimental's next EP, Free; they've already gotten hip-hop legend Nas to contribute to a remix, and now Jack Beats has been handed the keys and took "Free" out for a spin, giving it a charged-up bounce that is both pop-leaning and club-rocking at the #samedamntime. Jack Beats will actually be joined by Maya Jane Coles, who has contributed a remix as well. The Free EP is due out on November 18, but you can stream Jack Beats' huge rework right now.

There was a great crop of remixes this week, ranging from dynamic drum & bass decadence to tremendous trap tasties. Alliteration FTW. In any case, this week's batch is a bit larger than normal... but trust us, that's a good thing!

I'm not quite sure what to call this, genre-wise, and that's always a good thing. Remixing UK drum & bass outfit Rudimental's "Waiting All Night," Kidnap Kid has slowed down the tempo and turned in his own garage-esque, r&b-infused version. The tune keeps the soulful side of the original, letting Ella Eyre's vocals take center stage over his entirely new percussion. The track has a certain bounce to it that will have it fitting along side those smooth Disclosure tunes you have in your iTunes.
