Jaden Smith Joins 'American Honey' Star Riley Keough in New Louis Vuitton Campaign

This has been a busy week for Jaden Smith, who also dropped his "Batman" video.

Prior to bringing his freshly chopped dreadlocks with him to the Met Gala red carpet in May, Jaden Smith reunited with Louis Vuitton for their LV Series 7 campaign. Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière first shared an early peek at the Bruce Weber-shot campaign Wednesday:

For the first look at Series 7, Smith is joined by American Honey and Girlfriend Experience star Riley Keough. Expect to see more images from the new campaign soon.

Series 7 isn't the first time Louis Vuitton and Jaden Smith have teamed up. Back in January 2016, Smith was revealed as the face of the Paris house's Series 4 collection. In a great fucking photo from the campaign, also shot by Bruce Weber, Smith was seen rocking a Louis Vuitton skirt:

In a statement at the time of that now-iconic image's release, Ghesquière said Smith was chosen for the campaign because he represents this generation's fashion freedom. "He represents a generation that has assimilated the codes of true freedom, one that is free of manifestos and questions about gender," Ghesquière said. "Wearing a skirt comes as naturally to him as it would to a woman who, long ago, granted herself permission to wear a man's trench or a tuxedo."

In addition to a new Louis Vuitton x Jaden Smith collab, this week also saw the release of Smith's excellent new video for "Batman." The video was directed by Moises Arias, and is by all accounts worth every minute of your time right now. Watch it below.
