Continuing to build on last season’s line-up, Universal Works has launched its latest Hotel Duluxe concept for FW23. Realised with a traditional riad in mind, the seasonal delivery includes new textures and patterns, as well as a rich and diverse colour palette that mirrors the multi-faceted allure of traditional townhouses.

Taking cues from the distinctive styles of cinematic icons like Wes Anderson, Wim Wenders and Spike Lee, a notable piece merges in the form of a unique chunky fleece embellished with block-printed paisley motifs—a nod to the captivating rugs often found in the souks of Marrakech. In other parts of the collection, a persistent geometric theme emerges, blending ceramic-inspired patterns into a subtle two-toned patchwork of kapok cotton.

Hand-flocked devoré printed technical fabrics, blanket-striped flannels, overdyed cords and more round out the eclectic mix, coexisting harmoniously.
