Inspired by the duo’s archives and the late ‘80s and early ‘90s rave scene, British sportswear label Umbro and MTV have come together for the first time, uniting for an exclusive collaboration.

Paying homage to Umbro’s Mancunian roots, the debut partnership looks to celebrate the lives of the working-class community, through football fans, club culture and student style. Drawing on the oversized, baggy uniform worn by those unified by a single beat, the collection ties together Umbro’s history of casualwear with MTV’s long-standing pop culture reputation through a range of reworked sports-inspired silhouettes.

Coming as part of their existing Second Summer of Love collection, the offering is made up of coach jackets, football jerseys, track pants and graphic T-shirts, as well as accessories and Copley “Checkerboard” sneaker. Lastly, the genderless range also sees the introduction of elusive fabrics and prints, including a shell suit-inspired nylon, warped all-over checkerboard prints and a co-branded motif.

You can cop the debut Umbro x MTV collaboration now via the Umbro webstore.
