London-based label Percival is continuing its collaborative streak by teaming up with Slazenger for a tennis-inspired capsule collection.

Building on its string of successes, the contemporary menswear imprint has served up a range of partnerships in recent months, having collaborated with the king of loafers, Duke+Dexter, and fellow capital-residing label Pikol.

Coinciding with the start of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, the pared-back offering brings together understated athleisure wear with sophisticated summer style. Taking note of Slazenger’s rich history of racquet making and apparel, the collection pays homage to the brand’s tennis balls—which were first used for the games in 1902—and instantly-recognisable black panther motif.

Designed for Country Club members, the new range kicks things off with a ‘70s-eque zip-up jersey in burnt orange, embroidered white T-shirts, multicolored polo shirts and caps. A limited edition Percival x Slazenger knitted Vista Jacquard polo shirt serves as the standout piece, arriving with an all-over design inspired by Monte Carlo.

Speaking on the collection, Chris Gove, founder of Percival, said: “We met at centre court and were inspired by vintage tennis tournaments and attire. It was a fantastic experience working with Slazenger and we are delighted with all the pieces in the collection. The Racquet, Country Club. Ace.”
