Slovakian label Novesta has unveiled its latest footwear capsule for Spring/Summer 2022.
The heritage footwear makers—who have previously teamed up with the likes of Stutterheim, COMME des GARÇONS and Les Basics—have reimagined a selection of its most popular brand silhouettes, including the Star Master, Marathon and German Trainer.
Founded by Jan Antonin Bata in the small town of Partizánske, Slovakia, in the 1930s, Novesta has become one of the last purely European produced brands throughout Europe since its creation. Beginning life as the choice of footwear for the country’s military, the label’s offerings have since become a firm favourite across the globe, thanks to their instantly-recognisable vulcanised soles.
The label’s Marathon silhouette has also proven popular since its introduction in 1988 for the Czechoslovakian Olympic team, and even more so since the recent unveiling of the Marathon Trail, a chunkier take on the retro-inspired runner.
